African, Outjo and Gunners completes Debmarine Namibia Cup Last-16

Young African, Outjo FC and Mighty Gunners won on Saturday to confirm the 2017 Debmarine Namibia Cup last 16 clubs following thrilling action at the Mokati Stadium in Otjiwarongo.

The final weekend of the 2017 Debmarine Namibia Cup Last 32 Round took place at the Mokati Stadium on Saturday with three games and three places up for grabs in the next round of the competition.

The matches that were initially scheduled for Paresis Stadium were moved to the more favorable venue, Mokati Stadium in Orwetoveni location and in the first match home town club Otjiwarongo FC took on Premier League side Young African and in the end the latter were 4-0 emphatic victors.

The second match really lived up to the Dawid vs Goliath and the stuff the Debmarine Namibia Cup is made off as Kunene Regional qualifiers Outjo FC faced United Stars. The exciting match was action filled and in the end finished 1-1 and set up the dreaded penalty shootout. The boys from Outjo held their nerves and advanced to a historic Debmarine Namibia last 16 Round with a 5-4 win.

The final match of the day was between Premiership titans, Mighty Gunners and Citizens and the thoroughly entertaining match produced five goals as Gunners edged the tie 3-2 to take their place in the draw for the 207 Debmarine Namibia Cup.
