NPL BOG Meeting and Congress Resolutions

The Namibia Premier League [NPL] held its Board of Governors Meeting [BOG] and Ordinary Annual Congress [Congress] on Saturday, 27th October 2018 at Safari Hotel in Windhoek.

The BOG and Congress was attended by all its 16 [sixteen] Members. The NPL wishes to communicate the following resolutions, which the League believes are ready for immediate public consumption.

The resolutions follow in no particular order:
1: That the Congress welcomed and, by the same token, ratified the three [3] new entrants to the Namibia Premier League and they are:

1.1: Julinho Sporting Football Club,
1.2: Young Brazilians Football Club and
1.3: Military School / Okahandja United Football Club.
The Congress congratulated the trio for their promotion to the Top League in the country and granted them full membership.

2: Congress approved the audited Annual Financial Statements of the 2016/2017 and 2017/2018 Football Season and the Budget of the 2018/2019 Football Season.

3: Congress approved that the 2018/2019 Football Season of the MTC Premiership commence on the weekend of 09 – 10 November 2018.

4: That an Extraordinary Congress [AGM] be convened in January 2019 for the NPL to consider and endorse the appointment of auditors in accordance with the NPL Constitution.

5: The Congress approved to do away with the double header fixtures of the past format and adopted the single header fixture format for 2018/19 season.

6: The Congress welcomed and approved the new Top 8 additional competition. The Sponsorship Agreement between NPL and the potential sponsor for the new competition wil olfficially be unveiled on 15th November 2018.

7: The BOG endorsed Mr. Kadhila Amoomo a Legal Practitioner as the Leagues Prosecutor in accordance with Article 56.1 of the NPL Constitution.

8: The secretariat will refer the Young Chief FC matter against Young African FC as mandate by Exco to the Prosecutor for investigation, determination and possible action.
9: The BOG also appointed / endorsed the following members to standing committees in accordance with Article 41 of the NPL Constitution;

9.1: Finance Committee

9.2: Audit and Compliance Committee
- Mr. Nicklaas Kisilipile – Chairperson
- Mr. Milton Eiseb
- Mr. Mathew Haitota

9.3: Organising Committee for NPL Competition
- Mr. Paulus Ngolombe – Chairperson
- Mr. Anton Kake
- Mr. Lesley Kozonguizi

9.4: Technical and Development Committee
- Mr. Tim Isaacs – Chairperson
- Mr. Ralph Makgone
- Mr. Kelly Asser

9.5: Legal Committee
- Mr. Franco Cosmos – Chairperson
- Mr. George Ochurub
- Mr. Lourens Wenie Merero

9.6: Youth Football Committee
- Mr. Kati Nambandi – Chairperson
- Mr. Ephraim Shozi
- Mr. Kenneth Angula

9.7: Medical Committee
- Mr. Rodney Vries – Chairperson

10: The Namibia Premier League expresses gratitude and appreciated towards MTC and FNB for their uncompromising support we, as the League, received from them during the past season.
