Highest achievements of the Brave Warriors:
Qualification for the African Cup of Nations (1998) and two Silver Medals in the COSAFA Castle Cup (1997 and 1999).
The NFA was founded in 1990 and affiliated with FIFA and CAF in 1992. The founding president Mr. Ben Noabeb was succeeded by Mr. Charles Kauraisa who in turn was followed by Elliot Hiskia at the helm of the Association. Mr. Hiskia was at the 1996 General Assembly succeeded by Mr. Immanuel Namaseb who was succeeded by Advocate Petrus T. Damaseb in 1999. Advocate Damaseb remained in that position for a period of seven years.
Mr. John Muinjo, who was elected on the 28th October 2006, is the current President of the NFA. Mr. Muinjo served the Association as its Vice-President for a period of nine years before he become President. He has been Vice-President to both Mr. Namaseb and Advocate Damaseb.
The following persons served the NFA as its Secretary Generals since formation up to now; Sebastian Kamungu, Eliphas Shipanga, David Helu, Alpheus Gaweseb and Barry Rukoro (Acting).
