 FIFA Referees Course Successful
 A week-long referees course ended on Friday and is described a great success.
The FIFA member Referees Course that was conducted by Felix Tangawarima  subject 30 Namibian referees, three of  them women, to the latest training manuals  and video that can enhance their level of professionalism by minimising mistakes during matches.
Tangawarima, a retired referee after 17 years on the FIFA panel states: “I’m very impressed with the commitment and dedication of these guys and their willingness to learn and get better. We are using a universal syllabus and video from the world cup, as FIFA looks at harmonizing rules interpretation and application through consistency”.
The CAF and FIFA Instructor and Commissioner also commend the attendance of CAF Match Commissioner Mathew Amadhila and Brave Gladiators coach Jacky Shipanga.
“This shows that we are all concerned with taking the game to greater heights and this is commendable and should be appreciated”.
 Ndeuhala Hanagala, women assistant referee from the northern lower divisions have learned a lot: “The course was for informative and it had a great teacher indeed in Felix. I liked how the theory was later enforced with actual practice on the pitch and this helps a lot with the interpretation of the rules of the game. And it keeps us super fit too”.
Another course participant, Marvin Tjiueza from Windhoek says, “It was a very helpful course. It refreshes on what we know and Felix was ideal for this because we can relate to him easily”.
The Zimbabwean Instructor, Tangawarima  officiated  the first match in the post-independent Namibia when  a Namibian XI challenged a South African Select team on Independence day.
