Frank Valdemarka to inspect Independence – 07/05/2008
Zimbabwean FIFA Security Officer Frank Valdemarka is arriving in Namibia tomorrow to conduct what is a watershed inspection of the country’s only available football stadium of international standard.
The inspection takes place on the back of much publicity about the possibility that Namibia might be forced to play its World Cup qualification matches outside the country. The whole country is now holding its breath pending the findings of Mr. Valdemarka and the type of report he will submit to FIFA. Mr. Valdemarka is a highly qualified football official and his recommendations will carry a lot of weight with FIFA. Namibia plays Zimbabwe, Kenya and Guinea in the World Cup qualifiers.
