Heavy Loss for the Warriors
The Brave Warriors suffered their third successive defeat in their 2010 football showpieces qualifier as they went down 4-0 against Guinea on Sunday.
The team that started the qualifying campaign well with a 2-1 home defeat of Kenya, lost 2-0 away at Zimbabwe before conceding 2-1 against Guinea at home, and now faces a dark future following their 4-0 defeat in Conakry yesterday.
The Arie Schans charges have just two games left in Group Two, hosting Zimbabwe and travelling to Kenya in what could be defining matches for the technical team.
Guinea now tops the group with a better goal-difference than Kenya, after Zimbabwe placed third played to one-all draw against Kenya in Harare.
The qualifiers resumes again in September, with the 12 group-winners and eight best runners-up advancing to the next stage, in which they will be drawn to five groups of four teams. The winners of these groups will then qualify to the World Cup finals.
Namibia will be eliminated if they fail to beat Kenya on September, 6.
