KAPUKARE AND GEPHARDT RECEIVE CERTIFICATES – 14/04/2008

U/15 national coach, Willem Kapukare and Brave Gladiators veteran Veronica Gephardt received their German Coaching Certificates at a special event at the Embassy of the Federal Republic in Windhoek.  

Handing over the certificates to the two coaches the Ambassador of Germany to Namibia, Mr. Arne Von Kittlitz, requested NFA to seriously consider the appointment of the two coaches to positions within the NFA structures to allow them to make a contribution to the development of the game in the country.   He also assured the NFA that Germany will continue to assist where it can to contribute to the development of local football.

Speaking at the same occasion and on behalf of the NFA, Acting Secretary General, Mr. Barry Rukoro thanked the German people for their contribution to the development of the game in Namibia.  He stated the fact that almost all national team coaches in Namibia has at one stage or another gone to Hennef to complete the highly rated football coaching course. “Those coaches are bringing back valuable knowledge and their contribution is slowly turning the game in the country around” Rukoro said.   He also assured Mr. Von Kittlitz that the two coaches are already in the structures of the NFA and will continue in their respective responsibilities to aid the game nationally.
