Michael: Wave a flag for your Nation – 14/05/2008

Brave Warriors captain Michael Pienaar has called on Namibian football fans to create a proper International football atmosphere at the Independence Stadium in this weekend’s return leg match against Zimbabwe.

“I will enjoy the atmosphere, it will motivate me and my team mates, ‘’ he told nfa.org.  Pienaar is the first player to add his voice to the NFA’s Show Your Colours campaign, which encourages those who will attend the match on Saturday to make themselves heard.

Supporters are urged to bring scarves, flags and banners to make the Independence Stadium a cauldron of colour and noise. With that backing, Pienaar is confident the Brave Warriors can make it past Zimbabwe.

“We will be optimistic,” he revealed. “We are going to attack Zimbabwe, get at them and see if they can deal with that”
