Mouth-watering clashes in the Semifinals ‘One-day blockbuster of Football ‘awaits soccer lovers on May 24th, as the prestigious MTC NFA Cup reaches the penultimate stage. The semi-finalists to be played in Windhoek at a venue still to be announced pits Ramblers up against nemesis Civics in the first match of the double-header, with reigning champions African Stars to take on SKW. The FA Chief administrator Barry Rukoro expressed his appreciation of the football displayed so far and calls for more of the similar, “Thanks should go to all the teams that have participated in this competition for their sportsmanship and overall good behaviour. This goes a long way in making us all proud of being part of this game”. Rukoro also acknowledges the competence of the last four teams, before praising the sponsors MTC and the media for their unwavering support and coverage of the Association’s flagship competition. Amos Shiyuka of MTC echoed Rukoro’s praises to the teams and wished the best teams to advance to the final, to be played at the end loft eh season. “These four teams are well placed in the league and will definitely provide exciting football comes the 24th of May. It’s going to be a wonderful day for football indeed”, he says. Rukoro adds that on the day, Namibian Football will bid farewell to a loyal individual who served the game to the bets of his abilities. “I won’t reveal the name now, just be there to bid farewell with us” The four semi-finalists will use the playing kit they got before the quarterfinals, with the finalists to receive additional kit for the biggest of them all, the final. The champions of the competition will be 350 000 Dollars rich in addition to lifting the coveted trophy and gold medals, with the losers to bank an incredible 160 000 Dollars.
