NFA ADMIN AND MANAGEMENT COURSE OPEN – 07/04/2008

The Chief Administrator of the Namibia Sport Commission, Mr. Rusten Mogane, opening the first NFA Administration and Management Course for Premier League clubs stated the importance of continued training to sports officials and said that he is happy to note that some of the lectures include the topic of marketing.  “Marketing has become such an important matter today because the competition for the sponsorship dollar is growing by the day and the organizations with the ability to position themselves better will stand a chance to attract the most part of the available dollars” said Mogane.

Mr. Mogane further told the participants that the relationship between the Sports Commission and the current administration is excellent and it is obvious that the game is also benefiting from the capacity which is available now which can be seen from the number of success football has attained over last couple of years.

Also speaking at the same occasion, Mr. Peter Van Wyk, Chairman of the Premier League, stressed the importance of training and urged the clubs to take these opportunities seriously.   He also urged the NFA to organise similar courses amongst the First Division clubs as these are the clubs that will be promoted into the Premier League.

The Acting Secretary General of NFA, Mr. Barry Rukoro, told the participants that this particular course is the first of many such learning opportunities for the family of football.  He told the audience that NFA, through assistance from FIFA, is paying for the expenses of the courses.
