NAMIBIA WOMEN AT COSAFA – 30/04/2008

The Namibia Women National Team will leave the country tomorrow afternoon for Angola where they will participate in the annual COSAFA women showpiece football event.

The team which is coached by Jackey Shipanga has in recent years really moved forward in terms of its performance and has become one of the stronger women national teams in the sub-region.  The team is expected to do well at this year’s competition by either winning or at least equal its last appearance at the last edition when they ended second to South Africa. The team is grouped with host Angola, Mozambique and Swaziland. South Africa, the top Women National Team is in the same group as Zimbabwe, Zambia and Botswana.
