Namibia takes on South Africa in COSAFA – 08/05/2008

The Brave Gladiators will today take on the full force of the Banyana Banyana in the semi-finals of the COSAFA Women Championship.  The two teams come into the match having played impressive football save for Namibia’s loss against the host Angola in the final group match of the qualification round.  South Africa on the other hand has won all its group matches and is currently clear favorites to retain the championship.

Namibia however will want to get a result in this match to show that the loss against Angola was just a fluke.   Add to that the standing belief that Namibian teams do not want to lose against South African teams and you have a potential humdinger of a match later to day, here in the town of Malanje.
