 Ramblers Battles Civics
Euphoria and keen anticipation is very high as football masses are expected to flock to the Khomasdal Stadium tomorrow afternoon for a football “blockbuster” in the MTC NFA Cup.
In taking the game close to the people, the NFA have chosen the Khomasdal stadium as the venue for the semi-finals clashes involving four great sides, as renovations at the Sam Nujoma Stadium continues.
Hundreds will fill the stands to witness another battle between Ramblers and Civics in the first game of the double-header at three o’clock, as the former attempt to better their record in the current season against the reigning league champions.
Both sides have incredible armourers in their arsenal that can light up the game, but with so much at stake an introvert display is predicted with individual briliance and a rare midas touch to probably make the difference.
There will be some interesting battles with Floris Diergaardt expected to face the tough Ramblers defence marshalled by Brave Warriors captain Michael Pienaar and  former Civilian Donnelly Nell , with the lightening Samson John coming up against Jamunovandu Ngatjizeko and Sekedia Haukambe at the other end.
However, much of decisions will have to be made in the middle of the park, where the reliable Bernadine Bilizi is expected to maintain the Ramblers’ spine and playmaker Bradley Woermann to spread play, supported by the likes of Gerry Keister and the marauding Jeremiah Baisako.
The Civilians will rely on the likes of veteran midfielder Victor Helu, the sensational youngster Eslin Kamuhanga, and Dokkies Cloete to carry them through into the worthwhile final.
From the touchline, Tollie Van Wyk has been around and has seen his Ramblers squad mature and faces the promising former Brave Warriors midfielder Ricardo Mannetti, who has managed to combine passion with talent for Civics under the mentorship of Helmut Scharnowski.
The champions of the competition will be 350 000 Dollars rich in addition to lifting the coveted trophy and gold medals, with the losers to bank an  incredible 160 000 Dollars. Losing semi-finalists will each be rewarded with 60 000 Dollars.
Semi-finals Draw:

15h00: Ramblers V. Civics
