WARRIORS TO PLAY MALAWI - 17/03/2008

The Acting Secretary General of NFA, Barry Rukoro, has informed nfa.org that arrangements has been going on behind the scenes to get the national team of Malawi to play the Brave Warriors in an international friendly match in Windhoek.  “I have the pleasure of informing you that Malawi has agreed to play the Warriors in a preparatory match here in Windhoek.  This provides a welcome opportunity to the football starved fans of the national team to see the team in action” said Rukoro.

The match will take place on the FIFA date of 26th March 2008, at 19:30, at the Independence Stadium in Olympia. 

Namibia has never lost to Malawi at senior level before winning both at home and way in a number of memorable encounters including two matches at the independence celebrations of Malawi.   The most recent being last year.
