MTC NFA CUP OFF TO A GOOD START – 25/02/2007

The MTC NFA Cup has kick-off to an entertaining start and again demonstrated the gap between the deferent levels of football across the country.  Lower division clubs suffered heavy losing margins against NPL opposition.  That has again demonstrated the need for more investment at the lower end of our game.  The need to sustain the development of the U/17 Leagues is once again vindicated.

The next round of the MTC NFA Cup, however, promises to be an interesting affair as the chances of all Premier League ties have increased dramatically since most lower division clubs have been eliminated from the competition.  The full results of the First Round of matches are as follows:
