Namibia to open against Lesotho – 13/11/2007
 
Namibia is set to play Lesotho in the opening match of Group A of  the COSAFA U/17 Championship scheduled to take place between the 08^th and 15^th December this year here in Windhoek.  The venues are the Sam Nujoma and Khomasdal Stadiums in Katutura and Khomasdal.
 
Namibia will also play Botswana in the group stages while South Africa is drawn against Madagascar and Mauritius in Group C.   Group B will feature Zambia, Swaziland and Mozambique while Group D will feature Zimbabwe, Angola and Malawi.  The NFA has announced that a colourful opening ceremony is being planned for the competition.  The opening ceremony is expected to be attended by high-raking officials from corporate Namibia and politics.  The final match will take place on the 15^th December preceded by a closing ceremony.
